Carrie Underwood Plans Fall Album Release
Former “American Idol” winner and Grammy winning artist Carrie Underwood is set to release a followup album to her smash debut “Some Hearts”. Carrie hit it big with “Some Hearts”, which was certified 6x platinum and is the fastest selling debut album in SoundScan history.”Some Hearts” also produced five number one hits for Carrie, and brought her two Grammy awards, an American Music Award, and eight Billboard Music Awards.
The currently untitled second album was produced by Mark Bright, who not only worked on seven tracks from Carrie’s first album, but has produced albums for Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans. Carrie Underwood co-wrote several cuts for her upcoming album, though no song titles have been named. Carrie Underwood has told MSNBC that she was nervous about following up her debut album, and didn’t know if she would top the success of “Some Hearts”.
The official release date for Carrie’s new album is scheduled for October 23, 2007.
